Beaupre School, a two-room brick schoolhouse built in 1921 beside the historic Lac Ste. anne Trail, became a museum in 2007. The re-purposed classrooms now bring local history to life. One classroom is still a schoolroom; other themes include a typical country home, Main Street, community and farm life. Changing exhibits tell the story of everyday life in this part of north-central Alberta.

The museum’s Archives collection has school registers from many one-room schools dating back to 1909. Peruse books in our reading room for the early 1900’s on.
